Orthodontist William W. Fay, DDS, diagnoses and treats patients in his offices in South San Francisco and American Canyon, California. A strong believer in quality service, William Fay, DDS, is a member of the Dental Board of California which runs a disaster health care volunteer program.
The Dental Board’s disaster health care volunteer program is open to actively licensed healthcare providers, public health professionals, and members of medical disaster response teams in California.
Registration is done online through the Dental Board’s website. Applicants will first have to agree to the program’s terms and conditions before being asked to provide information specific to themselves and their skills. These include details on their license to practice where applicable, background information, and the best way to reach them. The information will be used by the authorized program managers to determine applicants’ emergency credentialing level.
In the event of a national or state disaster such as an earthquake, tornado, or public health emergency, authorized medical officials at the State Emergency Operations Center will access the volunteer information and request the services of needed volunteers, who will be deployed to the disaster region.
