A graduate of the University of Detroit School of Dentistry, William Fay, DDS, has served as owner and practitioner at his eponymous orthodontic practice in San Francisco, California, for more than three decades. Dedicated to providing his patients with the latest dental treatments, William Fay, DDS, offers products such as QuicKlear brackets.
Created by Forestadent, QuicKlear self-litigating brackets offer enhanced patient comfort while providing a more aesthetically pleasing alternative to traditional braces. Formed from a translucent ceramic material, the brackets blend in with the color of the patient’s teeth and feature a dull metal locking clip for less recognizable orthodontic treatment. Moreover, QuicKlear brackets have rounded slot edges that create less friction and discomfort in the patient’s mouth.
The brackets also feature a unique locking system that creates easier treatment options and faster office visits. For example, orthodontists can easily open QuicKlear brackets via the gingival and vestibular elements, and can close them using only slight pressure from a finger. At the conclusion of treatment, the brackets are easy to remove and offer a low risk of fracturing the patient’s enamel. Using Forestadent’s Pauls debonding tool, the orthodontist detaches the bracket from the adhesive before gently removing it from the tooth.
