William Fay, DDS, stays at the forefront of technological advances in his cosmetic orthodontics practices, and recently has started using Forestadent self-ligating clear ceramic brackets. William Fay, DDS, offers pro-bono services to patients who are disadvantaged, and supports philanthropic organizations such as San Francisco’s Olympic Club.
Founded in 1860, the Olympic Club is America’s oldest athletic club. It encourages charitable giving through its foundation, which sponsors programs that enable youths to become community leaders through athletic competition.
Several young people attest to the foundation’s usefulness. One, a young skater supported by a city women’s and children’s organization, has won some 30 gold medals in local and national competitions; working on his double axel, he plans to one day compete in the Winter Olympics. Another is a group of eight young men who form a senior high school rugby team. Thanks to Foundation funds, this octet was able to acquire uniforms and practice space, and for the first time, all of this team’s members will go to college. Finally, through its Brian Ohleyer Scholarship Award, the Foundation helped a child with a bleak future overcome his circumstances and play college football and track as well as intern at the White House.
